We mostly used public transportation, and were very pleased with the #29 bus that stops just across the
street
from the hotel and goes directly downtown.

I guess in all fairness the one in the back runs on that schedule but the one in the front where our first room was (room 243) runs every 15 minutes not too mention the noise from the busy
street
below.

State
street
has great shopping, and if you take the 29 up to Lake St, you can walk two blocks east and enjoy the Magnificent Mile.

In exchange for this isolation, you have easy access to the #29 bus which goes up State
Street
, through downtown and conveniently ends at the Navy Pier.

I mean, you can't walk out the door and there's downtown chicago but you're approximately a mile away so it's like a 5 minute car ride or pick up the train stop literally across the
street
.
"Pleased. "
