4. The complimentary cheese and wine (5-8) is an absolute must, but be warned don't overindulge especially if goin over the road to Bills bar where the friendly atmostphere and great barman 'Richie' will take care of you 'New York' style.

5. If I could afford it, I`d stay there every weekend, but the restaurant bills would bankrupt me, considering I like to go to places like Le Bernardin when I`m in town.

10. My one warning would be: if you are a light sleeper, consider avoiding the cheaper lower-floor street-side rooms - the noise on E 54th starts early, and continues late (two popular bars are right outside the hotel door - Monkey Bar, and Bills).
