1. To get to a sandy beach with good swimming take a short walk on either side of the hotel (by the Sheraton or Kiahuna Plantation hotels or the Marriott).

2. Didn't have any issues with noise or privacy and my wife and I really enjoyed the ability to walk right into our room from the pool if we needed anything.

3. There is a beach in front of the hotel, or a 2 minute walk which is great for swimming and a small shopping complex about 5 minutes walk across the road to buy any supplies or have meals outside of the hotel.

4. There are only a couple restaurants within walking distance, but Red Salt is excellent on sushi nights (Friday and Saturday) and Roys is an excellent dinner within an easy walk.

7. Gotta walk a bit for a decent bit of beach but then you're slumming it on the public beach and have to cut through the noisy nightmare of the Mariott next door (ie kids kids kids)- red salt restaurant: meh.
