4. The service is excellent (especially the valet staff, which matters because there is no self-parking), as is the location - walking distance to the Poipu Shopping Center in one direction and a spectacular beach hike in the other.

6. At the Koa Kea on Poipu Beach-- there is no charge for parking ($30 bucks a day at the Hyatt) or internet like some of the other hotels.

One man took our luggage out of the car, another drove the car away to park it, and another gave me a little wallet ticket with a 5 digit number on it, and explained that when ever we wanted to drive somewhere to just call the valet number on our room phone and give the last 3 digits of the ticket, and our car would be ready for us to drive off in by the time we got to that porticoed car port.
