1. Though they were correct that the tax was due (I was going to challenge it on my credit card but checked the group's site & it did say '+ tax'), I feel a call or e-mail was appropriate explaining the re-charge.

And it`s worth nothing that the Mayflower Park is in an excellent location--within walking distance of all downtown shopping, Pike Place Market, the must-see new public library, and other major attractions; city buses are free of charge downtown and a car isn`t urgently needed, and if you`re driving to the University or points farther afield the location is also very convenient, notwithstanding Seattle`s famously awful traffic.

5. The location right at westlake center is convenient to everything (though it does mean that the view is largely limited to the Macy's across the street), the staff was great, and no extra charge for valet parking was a wonderful plus compared to all the big downtown chains.
