1. When we checked in we asked for an upgrade to a suite and were given one, free of charge.

2. You can hire, free of charge, life vests for children in the amusement arcade in the main building and there is a shop selling Disney merchandise and essential items, a few food items etc. All in all I would say this is a brilliant resort - lovely grounds, nice pool, adequate rooms.
