1. Public Restaurant is an oasis of calm and creative cuisine (best burger on the planet) and the Tropicana pool is a fabulous spot to chill under a palm.

5. I knew some reviews said Grumann's Chinese Theater was near, but didn't realize it was practically right across the street, along with the Kodak Theater (where the Oscar's are) and the Kodak Mall, which has nice shops and restaurants, and a place way in the back where you can take your won picture with the Hollywood sign in the background without any obstruction.

6. This is also very close to some great restaurants within walking distance and we felt safe in the neighborhood walking around at night, as long as there were crowds around, which is pretty late.

8. The day and night life are always top notch, the restaurants are great even the 24 hour diner like spot that faced hollywood blvd (great ppl watching any hr of the day or night) and the alcoholic milkshakes are out of this world.

9. the pool area at the roosevelt is excellent - the pool is gorgeous, and the bar/restaurant next to the pool is great!the rooms are really nice and the beds are extremely comfortable.

10. In-N-Out Burger (the best), McDonalds, supermarket Fresh & Easy, pharmacy, Starbucks, Wraps, restaurants, shopping centre Highland Hills (you can see the Hollywood Sign) is all reachable on foot.
