1. The bathroom, although clearly old (rusty fixings from a dripping tap) was clean and had a lot of charm and the shower/bath was decent enough.

2. When I saw the state of the bathroom, with mold all over the ceiling and walls and bath tub looking like it had been there since 1950's, stained and rusty, I went back to the reception and ask for another room, although it was 1 o'clock in the morning.

(old tile, but VERY CLEAN), and there was GREAT WATER PRESSURE in both the sink and shower/bath, btw--the bath is BIG and DEEP!)--but even though old (in keeping w/the historical period of the hotel ) the room and bath was spotless, as are the common areas of the hotel as well as the private, well-landscaped pool area.
