1. There are no up-charges for things like Internet access, shuttle service to the very nearby airport, or even breakfast.

Room rates are in the 'economy' range - well below $100/night - but the array of amenities is dispropotionately higher: comfortable, quiet rooms with work area, flat screen TV, fridge and microwave, free 'hot and cold' buffet-style breakfast, free wireless Internet, free shuttle service, meeting rooms and restaurant/lounge on premises; and, although I have never used it - to spare other guests the view of me in my bathing suit - a spacious indoor pool area.
