Unknown to us they however later charged the whole amount onto the card along with everything else that we had spent during our stay (therefore taking our card over limit)Two days into our visit and the day before checkout we received a call from the Duty Manager expressing his concern regarding the outstanding amount (he did not seem overly concerned) and we explained to him that the bill would certainly be settled on checkout.
