They promised to bring back a

mat and we waited for a couple of hours up until midnight and then went to bed; as far as we know, they never came back.

If you lay a dry terry
bath
mat in a dry tub and then carefully run the shower so that the mat gets wet without bunching, it will stay flat while you take a shower.
