Three different, good-natured people at different times at the front desk suggested beaches that I researched and read that inexperienced people with kids (namely, us) could be hurt or killed: Sandy (aka BREAK NECK), Makapu'u (deemed for experts only), and Halona (no facilities, guards, and a slippery, sharp, steep, rocky path to climb).
