1. However, if the priority is more about location and value, and less about amenities, this isn't a bad choice.

2. I would recommend this for the price to anyone traveling for fun and on a budget, but not to anyone who expects a modern hotel with many amenities.
"Wonderful Balcony View, Cranky Front Desk Staff " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/27/2012 Vote
3. If you want amenities, you need to keep looking.

4. Oh -- and the rooms have full-sized balconies with plastic lawn chairs -- a rare amenity in a city hotel.
"Bad on the small stuff, good on the important things " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/14/2011 Vote
5. Also, if you can manage without internet in the room, coffee, service bar and other typical DC amenities, the Channel Inn is just fine.
"Great value and location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/23/2011 Vote
6. I would not enthusiastically recommend the Channel Inn, and for future stays would definitely stay in Pentagon City or Crystal City, where an updated Sheraton or Marriott with many more amenities will run you about the same price and you will be just a few metro stops from DC.
"Not luxury but OK for price and location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/6/2010 Vote
7. There are few amenities in room - no coffee maker, spare toiletries although they do include a full size iron and ironing board as well as a hair dryer.

8. The establishment is old, worn, thinly staffed and has very few amenities -- though staff are friendly.
"Can't believe that this is listed as a 3-star hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/23/2012 Vote
