3. With free parking and free MAX transit passes, and a trolley line right in front of the hotel, you can leave your car (if you have one) and breeze around Portland.
4. Having free parking was a big draw, as was the size of the rooms and the use of a kitchen, making this an excellent base for a longer stay.
5. Every room is a large studio suite with 2 flat screen TVs, a king bed, a sleeper sofa, desk, small balcony and full kitchen, which includes a great coffee maker, refrig, stove, microwave, toaster, pots and pans, etc. There is free wifi, free self-parking, a wonderful outdoor lounge on the 3rd floor with a BBQ.

13. My friend and I stayed here 2 years ago and were delighted with the spacious room, fun and (dare I say) outlandish decor, the location within a healthy walking distance of downtown, free parking, funky neighborhood with unique restaurants, friendly desk people, breakfast included and streetcar tickets gratis.

15. Free parking is a big plus (it saves an average of $30.00/night) The area is great - between the free trolley and walking distance, you can choose to eat out or cook and enjoy a great meal in your room.

17. Free parking makes this a real bargain compared to downtown hotels.
18. Parking my car was also free, and I left it in the parking lot the entire weekend because it was so convenient to walk or ride the trolly from the hotel.
20. There is plenty of resturants close by and free parking provided.
21. The description and photos of the hotel looked great and with the included breakfast, the super price, the free parking and the complimentary tram passes it all seemed too good to be true, but everything actually exceeded expectations.
22. Pros: Free parking-that's $30 a nite in a downtown hotel, friendly and informative front desk, bright, cheery rooms with 2 flat screen TVs and OK speed wi-fi.
23. The parking is limited but they are right on a trolley line and the Inn gives free day passes for the trolley.

34. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, parking is free, and the location is ideal for exploring the Pearl and Nob Hill.
35. Although it may still have been a little on the pricey side, it compared very favorably with other hotels in town during the high season and offered free parking and free streetcar tickets each day (the name derives from being on the trolley line).

39. The streets are numbered one way and alphabetical the other), the rooms (HUGE - my sister and I each had our own flat screen TV in a room with two queen beds, not to mention the big balcony, kitchenette and living room area), the perks (free parking, free internet access, free street car passes and free breakfast, where they had great bagels [and we're picky on the East coast about that!] and you could even make your own waffles), the decor (funky and fun) and the rate (about $160-170/night for two queens).
40. Others who stayed at "higher-rated" hotels downtown were actively jealous of the convenience, comfort, and decor of our suite at the Inn at Northrup Station--and they didn't even have the chance to experience the tasty continental-esque breakfasts or appreciate the convenience of free parking, free wireless internet, and a full kitchen (with high-quality cookware!).

49. We chose Northrup for a number of reasons including kitchen in suite (almost a must with small children), breakfast in the morning, in a quiet part of the downtown core, close to shopping and free parking.
50. We originally chose it because of the decent price and free on-site parking (though be warned that you might have to park on the street if you arrive at the wrong time - there aren`t quite enough spaces for all guests if fully booked).
