1. Staff was great and you can beat free breakfast and free parking.
|
2. Free Wi-Fi (which is how I am doing this review ;)), nice free continental breakfast spread, comfortable beds, clean rooms, and just generally neat.

3. A free breakfast was included and the selection was impressive.

4. Nice touches are the recycle bins in each room, bungie cord office chair, a Keurig coffee maker (though the Tully coffee was underwhelming), fresh fruit and yogurt available at all hours, glass art in the dining area, a wine reception on Wednesdays with 2 free pours, etc. Breakfast was not hot, with the exception of make-you-own-waffles, but there were hard boiled eggs, a selection of cereals including a gluten free cereral and granola, bagels, and a variety of yogurts.

Mom, sis & I chose this hotel for our mother/daughter getaway weekend and were thrilled with everything about it from the moment we walked in the door: bright colors & decor; friendly staff; bowls of yummy taffy in the breakfast room/lobby; location (walking to great restaurants & boutiques in our favorite NW Portland neighborhood);free passes to streetcar that stops right in front of hotel; very comfy, spacious room for the 3 of us; great rooftop deck for afternoon wine, and great breakfast.

31. The streets are numbered one way and alphabetical the other), the rooms (HUGE - my sister and I each had our own flat screen TV in a room with two queen beds, not to mention the big balcony, kitchenette and living room area), the perks (free parking, free internet access, free street car passes and free breakfast, where they had great bagels [and we're picky on the East coast about that!] and you could even make your own waffles), the decor (funky and fun) and the rate (about $160-170/night for two queens).
|
32. Others who stayed at "higher-rated" hotels downtown were actively jealous of the convenience, comfort, and decor of our suite at the Inn at Northrup Station--and they didn't even have the chance to experience the tasty continental-esque breakfasts or appreciate the convenience of free parking, free wireless internet, and a full kitchen (with high-quality cookware!).
