2. I've had much better experiences at other hotels (Comfort Inn and Suites in Asheville, for example) that charge less for a room and provide a mini-fridge, free internet access, and complimentary breakfast.

3. The highlights were a very courteous staff, good upgrade as a Platinum SPG member to a 1br suite, fast room service, and a live poinsettia in the room, which I thought was a nice touch.

4. The hotel is great-- it's a full service, rather than limited like Homewood Suites or a Holiday Inn Express, which means that it has a restaurant on site, room service, etc. Everything about the place physically was great: Ultra clean, comfortable room, very nice lobby, great public spaces.

6. My club king junior suite was an upgrade due to my Starwood status, and it was spacious, clean, again with mice modern furnishings and everything in perfect working order.

7. There were beautiful natural trees surrounding the back area of the pool, and I felt comfortable being out by the pool area outdoors, in a bathing suit.
