1. I had to pay an extra $20 for a key to my room which was ridiculous and there was no heating in my room which resulted in me sleeping in my dressing gown.

8. I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel for the tail end of my combined conference and holiday trip to California; on the second weekend of August rooms were hard to come by, but a SF booking service directed me to this hotel on Broadway near Columbus.

9. Yes, the rooms are small and yes, the decor may be a tad dated for those who are picky about such things, but the price and the location cannot be beat should you happen to be in San Francisco during a period when hotel rooms in the area are in heavy demand.
