1. When I think of older, historic hotels, I think of cramped rooms, even smaller bathrooms and limited amenities.

8. My room at the Adolphus contained a cracked mirror, poorly placed clothes closet in the bathroom and a couple very old lamps which hardly worked, a very old phone and alarm clock which I couldn't get working.

10. Our experience, however, was that the Adolphus is a nicely appointed hotel which is poorly managed and in desperate need of updating particularly in the bathrooms.
