4. Check in was fast and simple and before we went to our room, my brand new husband and I took a wee detour to look at the interior of the French Room and the commemorative photo of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh from their visit in 1993.

5. I am a history buff and I've always loved the Adolphus ever since I went to the French Room for my 9th birthday (my fanciest birthday dinner to date).
