2. An added bonus is that it's on the UNC campus, close to great bars and restaurants, and the accommodations are comfortable.

4. Though we didn't avail ourselves of the bar or the restaurant on this trip, we have always found the bar a welcome watering hole for either pre- or post-concert celebrations and the restaurant a special place to dine.

9. The restaurant is $$$ but quite good, with local ingredients, and the bar is clubby and well-attended, always with the same bartenders, who seem to remember who you are even if you haven't visited in months.

10. A great night would begin with meeting friends at the bar, then walking the two blocks up to Franklin for a few more at Top of the Hill or one of the other establishments there, or the West End.
