1. Hilton Bayfront is located next to convention center where I was attending a conference, and a little away from the noise of downtown area and ballpark.

2. noise, this is the kicker, some of the other hotels are really near the trolly or worse train, that blows its horn throughout the night.

7. Maintenance came up and fixed a problem with my air conditioning system (it was making a strange noise) and check-in was easy.

8. The higher up you go the less noise is apparent and there's little need to close the curtains - no one can look in - and if you're not fussed at the scenery then save yourself the extra $ charged for the bridge view and stare out the window at nothing in particular from the comfort of the bed.

9. If I was trying to relax all day, the noise from the ship might have been a little annoying, but that is beyond the control of the hotel.
