We live in the Indianapolis area and are familiar with the downtown and wanted something that was centrally located and within walking distance of all the restaurants, bars, etc. The Hilton can't be beat for its location at the corner of Market and Illinois Streets, which is one block from either Monument Circle or the Indiana Statehouse or Circle Centre Mall.
