3. All that aside, i found 80% of the front desk staff to be helpful and the valets were awesome but had their hands out for tips constantly.

7. As soon as I walked in it was awesome, everything from the Front Desk agents, the bellman, the breakfast attendants, the bar staff for the Managers reception (which includes pretty much an open bar with a big selection and a few apps) to the staff at the attached restaurant, Finn & Porter.

We then walked back to the White House that evening with my husband, and the next day we walked to the monuments, the National Mall, both history museums, and then back again that night so I could see the White House, Lincoln Memorial, and Korean War monument lit up - they were awesome to see after dark by the way.
