1. We did have lunch in the cafe one day and had wonderful mussels, but the portion was huge and would have been better shared, as we wasted so much of it.

3. The front desk clerk when I checked out didn't really seem to care when he asked how my stay was and when I hesitated in answering, then muttered, 'Well, it was okay, I guess,' he just handed me my bill & didn't ask how they could have made it better or anything.

5. This was our first visit to Washington and in my opinion you'd struggle to find a better location; the Whitehouse only minutes away, both the Washington Monument and the Capitol Building visible as you step out of the front door and the stop for the 'hop on, hop off' buses 20 yards away.

8. I reviewed the Willard Intercontinental in April 2010 (Good but not great), and am pleased to say I had a much better stay here the second time around.

9. Elegant hotel in a great location if you are a tourist BUT for the price we paid (we had a suite for the three of us), we've stayed at hotels with better amenities and definitely much better service.
