1. Although I didn't have time to enjoy all the resort's activities, there are more than enough to keep someone busy and happy - golf, tennis, lovely pools, the short hike to the Ventana waterfall, kids camp, fitness classes, spa and more.

3. I know there have been quite a few new resorts built in the last 20 years, but I am happy to find the Ventana Canyon Resort as great as I remembered.

9. If you hit the resort at happy hour time, walk across the parking lot to the Flying V restaurant, you may be able to snag a drink and hors d' oeuvre for a reduced price.
