1. Overall, if you are just passing through for a day or 2 get a decent deal (I paid about $120) and want to have free parking, easy access to the beach and beach walking paths, this hotel is a great choice :o).

2. This is a very old building, and they have gone to great lengths to make it modern, but you have to take into account that it's an old building.

5. We really enjoyed our first visit to Santa Barbara - great restaurants, shopping, touristing - and the Hotel Oceana was a significant part of that experience.

9. We didn't plan to spend much time in the room, in any case, as Santa Barbara has so much to explore - museums, old buildings, shopping, the ocean front, great restaurants, wine tastings, tons of things to do.
