1. This is a pleasant quiet moderately priced hotel with a lovely pool and jacuzzi.

2. The rooms there were smartly appointed with big terry robes to wear, nice furniture and interior decorating, lovely views out to the harbor and pier (at least from our 3rd floor front building), balconies, large closets for luggage overflow, etc.

3. We sat outside by the pool for breakfast, which would have been lovely except the manager not so nicely told us the pool was closed until 10AM.

4. We loved swimming in the pool located in a pretty courtyard, overlooked by a large palm tree that was home to an acorn woodpecker who serenaded us.

8. We were there in January and as it's a block from the beach I thought the $150 we paid was a bit high but Santa Barbara is lovely and I didn't really regret paying it.
