2. He allowed my fiance to check-in (eventhough the reservations were under my name and I would be arriving much later than him), graciously helped w/my heavy arts and crafts (wedding centerpieces, favors, etc), and seemed like he kept an eye on us to make sure everything was up to par.

3. Without the warmth and sun, the famed charm of downtown Santa Barbara was lost on us; it felt like a sister to Santa Cruz, CA, with its similar Hippy attractions and biker vacation crowds.

4. The staff were super friendly and they offer so many freebies that are included in your stay like free continental breakfast, wine & cheese in the late afternoon & freshly baked cookies later on at night.

5. Originally planning to stay for a few days, we drove in to what turned out to be your basic motel-like parking lot to check in, apparently too early for any cookies and milk that are strictly distributed no earlier than 5 pm.

8. The owners are friendly, lots of Brits in this hotel as the owner is also from the UK, we liked the nice breakfast buffet, although little it was really nice.
