2. Its a shame that htis hotel could have been better, but it seems like the front desk and the claeaners run this place and they really didn't care whether or not I enjoyed my stay, as long as the box wine and cheese were out on time.

4. Probably 15 minutes to reach the main street with it's shops, restaurants and the wonderful Santa Barbara Brewing Company but if half of that is strolling along by the beach & sea, what's not to like?In summary, the West Beach Inn provided good quality accomodation at a sensible price and if/when we come back to Santa Barbara in the future, it is highly likely that we would want to stay there again.

6. I was a little apprehensive in advance of our stay as the hotel does look a little 'motel-like' from the outside but do not let that put you off.
