1. The staff are very polite and helpful, rooms are clean and large, restaurant is very good, and the location to the Sansum Clinic, could not be better.

3. We had a MUCH better stay at the Best Western Plus South Coast, in Goleta, which, though it's a bit more of a drive, is a much newer and nicer facility with beautiful grounds.

5. While I have booked better hotels in other cities for the price, the Pepper Tree Inn is a quality accomodation for the going price in Santa Barbara.

6. Forget official ratings - this bettered the so-called 4 star - better rooms, better staff, better facilites, better all-round.

8. The bathroom has a tile floor that could be cold but they furnish a rug for use by the bath tub, this is much better than a towel that most hotels furnish.
