There isn't anything around for quite a few miles
except
hotels, free ways and homeless people sleeping under the underpasses and near the property.

The area didn't seem the best but there isnt much management can do about it
except
having security walk the property (which they do) They are set on two differen tlots, regular rooms in the front and suites in back building.

My advice is - only stay here if you want an inexpensive place (with good breakfast) that is close to a lot of attractions in San Diego, but you won't be at your hotel during the day,
except
maybe to swim one day and to do some laundry.

Previous comments about the homeless being in the area were correct, but our experience was that with only one
except
ion they were friendly and in the main ignored the residents of the hotel.
"Great stay thanks to shuttle staff and others "
