6. For a family vacation I would do the research and find a moderately priced (if money was a big concern) chain hotel around Hotel Circle where I would know exactly what to expect and which was close to all the attractions.

7. Hotel location was easy for getting to all attractions and was quiet, unlike what we`ve heard about Hotel Circle--and such a nice change from the cookie-cutter hotels.

9. I would hesitate to recommend The Lafayette for a visiting family, since it is a bit aways from most tourist attractions, though only slightly farther than properties in Hotel Circle and downtown, and only two bus lines (11 and 15) stop near the hotel.
