3. We were sorry we missed our buddy Juan Carlos in the Islands restaurant (it was his day off on the Monday-November 28th- we went there) but Juanito gave us wonderful service and lots of laughs.

I wonder where it went?To sum up: the Hanalei Crowne Plaza is in a great location in Hotel Circle, really convenient to all the major SD attractions, has a nice pool area, a nice bar/sushi restaurant, great and friendly staff, AND you get to look at and appreciate some old tikis who have been on the property since probably before you were born.

9. for those who are wondering what Tiki Oasis is - well, it's an annual gathering/celebration/convention (however you want to call it) of people from all over who are obsessed with and/or greatly appreciate tiki culture, history, music, fashion, and of course - tiki drinks.
