6. We were able to walk from the hotel to downtown & the Gaslamp quarter through Balboa Park (approx 25 mins) and after a full day's sightseeing took a cab to return to the hotel which seemed reasonable at $11.

10. I would recommend this to anyone, but especially to those that are looking for a central location at a reasonable price with large rooms and thick walls (great if you have small kids).
