1. I also love this place because there are multiple restaurants within easy walking distance--unlike many other hotels on the beach (like the Hilton--good luck finding food around there.

6. Gardeners were planting flowers and cleaning the grounds every day I was there and it really does feel like Hawaii (I have stayed in Maui and it reminds me of that).

7. My room door was not clompletly closing by itself like it should and housekeeping noticed and had the maintenance staff fix it without me even saying anything.

8. Shelter island has some good restaurants and cafes like Point Break Cafe (good, inexpensive breakfast), Brigantine's and of course Humphrey's restaurant - good breakfast and dinners.

9. What a great entertainment venue but if you had a room near the stage and you did not like the music that may be a problem for some.
