1. Even though I'm not a pet owner, I liked the way that they listed all the names of pets staying on a board at the front of the hotel.

2. I go on there sometimes and enter a really low price for a 4 or 5 star hotel in a place I'd like to go, this was the first time it actually worked.

4. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite (which is decorated in a beachy modern pottery barn style- even my husband liked it), which was great since it had a door, but bathroom only accessible through the bedroom.

5. Check in is very casual, and note that if you book through a third party site like I did and try to add a second name to the registration in case they are arriving seperately, when the record is transferred over, the second name will become the first and they will only be able to see that name.

6. The valet boys are very nice and super accomodating, however the valet area is very very small, so be prepared to wait if you are there on a busy weekend like we were.

8. As indicated above, we really like Kimpton Hotels We travel to San Diego a lot, and while one stay is not generally enough to judge a hotel, there won't be a second chance here.
"Don't Bother " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/15/2012 Vote
9. When another room slides the door it sounds like there is an earthquake - I have been in earthquakes, so this is not an exaggeration.

10. That being said - the hotel smells like pets.
