It's more peaceful in the Del Mar/Marriott area with
plenty
to see and do than in downtown.

I will say there were
plenty
of good looking men around :) (torrey pines golf in SD weekend anyone?)My only issue was that the computers in the lobby had an issue using sites with calendars ( aka sites booking hotel rooms, air flights ans such).

Even though there were
plenty
of rooms available, we were placed in room 200 which had the view of the air-conditioning unit.

Too small and only complaint was having to pay $13 a day to park in a garage that had
plenty
of space.

The pool area was nice - no attendant or pool-side services but
plenty
of lounge chairs and tables and chairs to have lunch at or whatever.

It was definitely a bar, and despite anti-smoke laws, it smelled of smoke and there were
plenty
of drinkers there.
