4. Keep in mind that in San Antonio the Riverwalk itself is very touristy, and you'll generally find better restaurants and bars if you branch out away from the river.

8. Upon arrival, I was impressed to see a note to us from the general manager of the hotel expressing his wishes for us to have a comfortable stay and encouraging us to contact him directly if we had any issues or concerns (we didn't).
