1. Might even try to find a reason to visit Portland again (maybe when it's slightly warmer), just so I can stay here.

2. They have one computer available for guests to use right by the front desk, offer reasonably priced bottled water and have a chalk board door in all the rooms for you to doodle or plan out your day.

5. The room rates at the Jupiter are a bit steep for what you get (I think a reasonable rate for this hotel would be $75 - $90).

7. The Jupiter Hotel is more aptly name the Jupiter MOTEL and there's a reason there are very few photos of the Jupiter Motel on the hotel's website.

8. The adjoining restaurant/bar, the Doug Fir, has a simple and reasonably priced menu, great drinks, a modern northwoods kind of design and a youthful, joyful energy that resonates from the basement's music venue.
