4. Their parking garage with an elevator delivering you right into the lobby of the hotel was a very welcome amenity, as well, with the often rainy weather in Portland.

6. We were travelling with our dog and so we expected a 'less nice' room, which is what we normally get at most hotels but our room was great and Zoey was welcomed with her name on the chalkboard at reception.

7. They upgraded us and had our room ready early and in the room we had wine, chocolates, and a nice note from the staff welcoming us and wishing us a happy anniversary.
