7. I'd also like to note that Portland's wonderful light rail system will get you from the airport to within easy walking distance of the hotel in well under an hour for under $3.

After reading the other reviews of this particular hotel I thought it might be helpful to point out that those of us who travel frequently and have joined Marriott Rewards (I'm a gold level member) are given perks that are usually not available to casual travelers - things like bathrobes and upgraded amenities in the room, a room on a higher floor with a view, room upgrades, access to the concierge lounge (free full breakfast buffet), etc.

9. All the brand names like Columbia, Nike Town, Banana Republic, A & F, and the dept stores like Nordstrom, Macy are all on Broadway and within a few blocks away.

10. If you like marriotts and a good location this is the place to stay - I think if you have a car you have to use Valet parking (I didn't see any self service, but it may be available).
