Our plan had been to leave the car at the hotel and use the light rail system to get downtown (there's a station beside the hotel), but we abandoned that idea and fled in the morning to the Econolodge Convention Centre, which, despite being much closer to the city centre and right next to roadworks, was totally quiet.

3. The room was attractively furnished and the bed and pillows were comfortable, but despite requesting a quiet room, we found ourselves overlooking a major highway (probably the interstate).
