1. Basics like the air conditioning work.

2. And like all Courtyards, it is predictable -- the rooms are spacious and well appointed, the lighting is good, it comes equipped with a coffee maker and mini-fridge.

6. REALLY??? That's the best the management could come up with for THAT prime location and that gem of a building???? In a city of foodies and what seems like every other person is a chef or wannabe chef, this is what you could do? Shame on you Marriott.

7. The building is a classic renovation-- it was the old City Hall Annex, and the reno was done right-- every modern amenity you'd want but with old-building advantages like thick walls and floors.

8. Seems like an odd statement but we stay at a lot of Marriotts and most of the time you feel like they are incredibly happy to see you.
