1. We had one snarly housekeeper who did the big eye roll when my girls returned, tired, to their room for a rest at 2 PM and she was just arriving.

The architecture alone of this hotel, designed by Philip Johnson, is magnificent and the location is adjancent / convenient to the old City Hall area, about two blocks from Macy, rooughly nine blocks walk to the Independence Square, the Liberty Bell and the other big draws for those interested in Philadelphia's contributions to American history.

7. The room and hallways had handsome old photographs depicting Philadelphia landmarks -- even a big framed print in the bathroom.
