1. My husband works for Marriott and while Courtyards are usually nice, I've never been super impressed.

2. I was tempted not leave a tip, but relented, not wanting to punish her for a bad day and confirm her impression that cleaning up after two teens would have no reward (I know this from personal experience;-) The rooms were cleaned, but the paper cups were not replaced when the ice bucket was emptied, which necessitated a trip to the lobby for more, since we carried breakfast in with us.

4. I guess my overall impression was that Marriott had jumped at the opportunity to have the property, got into the downtown area and stuck in a Courtyard just to get their foot in the door.
