3. The hot tub was enjoyed by all us Midwesterners who are used to flat terrain, to soak our aching feet after the days and nights traversing the bumpy streets of new Orleans.

4. The surrounding neighborhood is charming as well, with a convenience store and a 24 hour hole-in-the-wall diner that serves alcohol as long as you're willling to consume it (like most places in new Orleans).

10. For provisions, it is only a 3-minute walk to a corner grocery story -- are they called bodegas in new Orleans? The immediate neighborhood appeared to be safe any time of day.
