1. We do miss the small outdoor pool and hot tub at the Frenchmen, but Hotel de la Monnaie is quiet, accommodating and refined; at the edge of the Quarter, close enough, but yet far enough away from the Mardi Gras festivities.

6. Well-priced accommodation, friendly & responsive staff, an open air courtyard & small kitchens for those who wish to save by doing some cooking (get your food across the street at the Market or 2 blocks away at a grocery store.
