5. We had dinner one evening in Rambla which is attached to the hotel and the food was good, although the restaurant never seems to be busy like most other New Orleans establishments.

6. The concierges were very sweet, one offered me her personal umbrella, but the manager was down right chilly, and again, had 1001 'good reasons' for not having any umbrellas for guests, not even for the doorman, who was only present on the day we left.

8. It's got the sort of character-plus-comfort I want when visiting NOLA, and the combination of quiet, comfortable rooms with good wifi, a cool lobby bar, helpful staff, and walking distance to more or less everything downtown, makes it a lock for my next trip.
