1. The Marriott Nashville West End is my favorite Marriott property in the Nashville area, and it's my first choice for trips to Vanderbilt as long as I am able to find a reasonable rate.

2. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars was because we had requested a king size bed and upon arrival, we were told no more were available so we had two doubles.

3. reasonable minds can surely differ, but I have found the concierge lounge staff to be welcoming, considerate, and personable.

4. Internet is reasonably fast but is charged by the device (rather than the room) so it can get expensive with multiple people and multiple laptops/mobile phones.

5. Shuttle Suburban will take you to/from downtown or Hillsboro Village or anywhere reasonable for tips.

8. For some reason there was a really bad smell in parts of the hotel, very bad in the room that we first checked in.
