1. can get around without a car or taxi* close enough to south beach- 5-10 min ride in taxi or 20- min ride on public trans* close to Bayside- a great place for families with 'teens', great shopping ( with any budget) food places were great.

2. at any rate the breakfast was a little pricey ($18pp) so we found the cute little mall under the hotel which connects the Maririott to the Double tree ( another great hotel- a conversation for another blog.

4. We had friends with teens and young children who stayed at the four seasons - great if you only love the beach, and The Shelly- good for a over dressed room on the beach and fine shopping areas.

6. There is a nice little shop in the hotel next door, sells booze, water, pop - great for picking up supplies before going on a cruise.

7. There is a bridge within 100 yards that offers a great, low traffic running route all the way to Miami Beach, so long as the draw bridge isn't up.

10. great view of cruise ships and intercostal waterway constantly changing all the time,room nice and spacious and clean ,ate in the restaurant food was good near bayside marketplace also deli and few little shops and restaurants attached to hotel ,small outdoor pool for size of hotel with nice little cocktail bar, would recomend this hotel.
